Massage prevailing among women

Massage shops were previously considered as men's domain, but now are
serving more and more women in Nanning, capital city of south China's
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Traditional Chinese massage can provide both health and skin care as well
as help people relieve fatigue through knock, pinch and tap. It was ever
linked with pornographic industry, but after years of powerful
regulation, now it has become popular among the common people as a
relaxation style. Especially, it is welcomed by many beauty-pursuing
ladies.

"Yue'e Health Care Center" is a simple massage shop. When you walk into
the room, you will be greeted by a faint aroma of traditional Chinese
medicine and the sound of tapping. On many white and clean beds, clients
are lying on their stomach or back or with one side on top, accepting
relaxative massage. Rough statistics show that there are normally more
female clients here than male.

"Several years ago, most of massagists are young girls and most of
clients are men, but now the situation has been reversed," said Wu
Yichong, a male massagist in the shop. People have begun to see this
industry in a new light. With a long history in China as a way for beauty
care and pressure relief, massage actually has become young Chinese
women's new favorite.
